As someone who does not usually play card games this is the one anyone similar to me makes an exception to It simply one of the best balanced and fun rougue likes I played, its very hard but has a modular difficulty system with 20 progressing harder difficulties, so as you master a character you will keep being challenged All characters have their own unique gimmicks and decks, and you clearly see archetypes and combos within the available cards, which both hint at their abilities and personality Using said combos and hunting for those combinations, together with your relics and passives to make your deck greater than the sum of its parts changes how you see many of the items and cards depending on your circumstances, so every card and item has its place and situation where it truly shines The enemies are also one of the high points of the game, the bosses and mini bosses all demand different deck styles and damage/blocking solutions, so you are pushed into specialising your deck or covering your weakness depending on what comes next, with the true final boss being the best designed boss I ever saw, demanding that your deck is fully fleshed out, consistent and capable of doing massive damage and great block In all its a great game that even people that dont like deckbuilders will love it
