Nightwater

Cute little game. Game controls and feels fine, sometimes it's a little clunky, but this is rarely an issue. Gameplay is simple, but makes use of it, and breaks up what would normally be monotonous or afk gameplay with other simple minigames, it still does end up shallow at times. The added minigames at face value i assumed were going to be a drag and slapped in as fluff, but mostly were enjoyable, and rewarding, but i wouldn't call them balanced. Each minigame respectively needs a little bit of polish to fix minor issues as well. My only real complaint, is the balance and scale. The game plays like you'll be doing a massive grind, but progression is pretty short lived, especially if you only focus on progression goals. The scale of the world, makes the game feel larger than it actually is, which is both a good and bad thing. Post game feels like i shouldn't even bother. I feel the intent with giving the player wider access as the game progresses, but the application of that intent misses the mark. I would fix this with either an additional tier of progression or minor buff tweaks to end game interactions. I'm not sure all to what degree bugs have influenced my gameplay, i feel like the global farmer buff is broken for me, and maybe some other things, that i just didn't notice. Expect 15-20 hours of gameplay, varying by 5-10 hours depending on how long you want to fiddle around, or play the minigames, or both. 35-50 hours of playtime is very easy to achieve with post end gameplay and true 100% completion.
