Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter

10/10 best remake I've ever played: Similar to Sky 1st, I think this is a really amazing remake and still in my top 3 favorite Trails games of all time. A lot of noticeable QoL carried over from Sky 1st being improved upon making gameplay feel a bit smoother while still very familiar to what I got used to in the first game. Very happy to see they took a lot of feedback from the first remake as well as Sky 2nd feels like it has a more faithful translation, better remixed OST for the new songs, and animation quality that still continues to shock me to this day as someone who's been a fan since 2018 and seeing these games continue to get budget increases every year. My only complaint is I feel like the new side quests weren't as memorable as the ones in Sky 1st outside of a sidequest with Kevin I really liked and another one with Lugran which really expanded upon each town in chapter 8 having a big side quest to do. The advertising for the game made me think that the 4 bracers would have more to do but they still dont have much unless you're Anelace and sometimes Kurt (Grant and Carna who) so that also kinda sucks but for a remake that is still mostly 1:1 to the original they still did a really amazing job (still miss the old Xseed translation sometimes but for being more faithful to the JP script in the remake this is still a good translation.) Finally, doing Nightmare with +75 levels felt less annoying than Sky 1st did considering they give you a LOT of really busted accessories to play with and it was fun speedrunning through the game until the inevitable difficulty spike of fighting Loewe like I expected just like the original. Thought the new rageboost mechanic would be extremely unfair but it really does help the game balance a lot by making you feel like you're challenged enough but not doing unfair fights and adds a new level of aura for all the major antagonist characters. Again overall just a really really amazing remake and I legit cannot wait to see Sky 3rd get remade when they find the time for it.

Le remake du premier était déjà incroyable, celui là est dans la même veine. Le jeu en lui même est la suite parfaite de son prédécesseur et un véritable bijou pour ceux qui aiment les histoires qui savent prendre leur temps.
