Definitely a really cool and unique experience. Just wish the game was a bit longer tho.
This game has only one downside: it's too short. Everything else is amazing.
A short game that reminds me of the good old Atari days! Most of the time, it’s pretty clear what the game wants you to do, and the gameplay is enjoyable throughout. There was just ONE section that must have cost me at least 30 deaths because it felt so utterly random. I tried luring chimeras toward the soldiers, jumping over the bridge, and coming up with the wildest strategies imaginable, only for the soldiers to suddenly go boom at some point. I still have absolutely no idea what actually triggered it. Other than that one baffling moment, a fun little experience!
I usually get annoyed by trial and error in 2.5D platformers, but here dying usually felt like my own mistake. You really have to listen to audio cues. The audio mix warns you about failing bulkheads before they give out. Fantastic mechanics.
Came for the cool retro graphics, stayed because I was genuinely desperate to see the protagonist survive and figure out what the hell happened on this base.
Nice mix of exploration and horror. Great atmosphere, clever puzzles, and the collapsing base adds constant tension.

PROS: Distinctive VHS retro visual style that hides threats in the noise Superb audio design (the groaning bulkheads give genuine chills) Tight, focused narrative without unnecessary filler High-stakes environmental puzzles CONS: A couple of camera transitions were slightly abrupt, but nothing game-breaking. Overall, if you like sci-fi claustrophobic horror, keep your eye on this one.
It’s refreshing to play a linear game that knows exactly what it wants to be. Escape: Immersion doesn't bloat itself with empty crafting or open world chores. It throws you into a drowning station, gives you amnesia and tells you to run. It's direct, cinematic and relentlessly tense. Easily lost 2 hours without checking the clock.
In this game, we will have to uncover our past and solve complex puzzles with very beautiful graphics!
Brutal in places! You will die and you will die often if you rush. But the tension when you barely slide under a closing blast door while water surges behind you is unmatched. Needs slight polish on some animations, but the core game is already rock solid.
The combination of water physics, darkness and psychological horror works ridiculously well. You’re constantly balancing two fears: the ticking clock of drowning and the terror of turning on your light and seeing what’s waiting in the corridor. Developer did a fantastic job with pacing.
As someone who loves retro horror aesthetics, the VHS look here is chef's kiss. It actually adds to the dread rather than just being a trendy gimmick.
