I genuinely enjoy this game, you can tell that a lot of love has gone into it and it really suits my type of humour, while it is very much an early access game with the bugs and WIP content that comes along with it. it has a charm that draws me in and honestly keeps me playing, the characters look to be interesting and decently written and i really look forward to where the dev is going with them, it is brutal but honestly a lot of the negative reviews about the difficulty seem to come from folk who haven't actually explored a lot in the game, which is kind of the point, that you figure out how to work around your characters poor circumstances, there is literally a stat called curiosity, it is there for a reason. There is valid criticism, there were quite a few bugs on release and the game isn't fully polished yet, but it is early access for a reason. In saying all this i also understand if this type of difficulty isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you like a bit of trial and error and have a few quid and are willing to play a game in progress then you'll enjoy it. The dev is very active and has to date released six hotfixes since the game came out 3 days ago, which is an astonishing pace for a solo dev in my experience with early access games. As someone who was burned by Spacebase DF-9 and a few other games I don't give grace to abandonware. Looking forward to playing more and can't wait to see the game as it grows from now!
Don't listen to the bad review on here. This game is great! It a mix of both world in real life and fantasy, you want to be a hero but you're not built like one, then you want to be rich but poor because of your family background. Give this game a chance before you decide that it is trash and give up and write a bad review.
I never thought I’d end up sleeping under a bridge after spending all my coins on the coin-throwing skill (which I no longer have). I see a bright future for this game. I really like the concept, the setting, and the mechanics. Despite its current technical imperfections, I can see the developer's enthusiasm; I’ll be waiting for the game to get polished and am leaving a positive review in advance. I understand what it takes to make a game almost entirely on one's own. Good luck!
❌ A Broken, Soft-Locked Disaster (DO NOT BUY) DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. It looks like a clever corporate/medieval satire on the surface, but underneath it is an completely broken, unplayable mess that the developers have abandoned in a half-baked alpha state. The game is riddled with game-breaking event flag bugs. If you don't do tasks in a highly specific, linear order, the engine completely deadlocks your save file. I have hit multiple permanent soft-locks where the UI freezes entirely—restricting the main menu to just "Status" and "Item"—and crucial progression markers like the advanced lectures completely break and say "not available." Worse, the quest lines are fundamentally unfinished. I am currently trapped in an infinite dialogue time loop with the weapons dealer's kid during the Heroes' Guild storyline. Worse, the quest lines are fundamentally unfinished. I am currently trapped in an infinite dialogue time loop with the weapons dealer's kid during the Heroes' Guild storyline. The game endlessly repeats the quest trigger, cancels out the next step, and completely locks down the inputs so you can't even save or quit normally. The developers do not care and are not fixing these issues. They took the Early Access cash and left the game's code completely scrambled. I spent my first two hours just trying to troubleshoot basic technical issues, pushing me past the automatic Steam refund window. Save your money and your sanity. Do not support developers who abandon broken products.
Originally I wasn't going to get this game. Even though I play many rpgmaker games, this one isn't really the type of thing I look for, but in the end I tried it on a whim. Needless to say I can't really recommend it at the moment. The most positive thing I can say is that it looks nice. The tiles are well-used and while I did notice a couple overlay issues there wasn't anything major to concern the developer with considering the other problems the game has. And I have a lot of problems. Perhaps the most significant one is, as many other reviewers have stated, there's just ton of bugs, big and small. I've run across a few of the ones that don't explicitly stop your progress but do massively hamper it. For example, I'm currently being taxed for a townhouse I don't own, a bug that still exists in my game file even though it was supposedly fixed, so I guess I may be stuck with that forev…

And I have a lot of problems. Perhaps the most significant one is, as many other reviewers have stated, there's just ton of bugs, big and small. I've run across a few of the ones that don't explicitly stop your progress but do massively hamper it. For example, I'm currently being taxed for a townhouse I don't own, a bug that still exists in my game file even though it was supposedly fixed, so I guess I may be stuck with that forever, maybe. But others have mentioned some that completely halt progress, so it's hard to justify playing the game in its current state - as such, it's impossible to earnestly recommend it for $10, even though it really needs a lot more testing as an early access title. Quite a catch-22 there. But putting the bugs aside, I have some other problems too. The game has a sluggish pace amplified by frustrating game systems. I realize that this is the intent since this is satire based on the woes and hardship of a college graduate(I'll get to this a bit later), and that the point is to break out of the cycle via any number of means, but there are simply better ways to express this than dragging you with unavoidable shenanigans that may not have even been funny the first time it happened. The flyer girls, which are 95% of the NPC makeup outside of buildings, harass you constantly. Having to carry 10 swords instead of one, lowering your walking speed. Having to wait at the door for a minute for the lady to return from her break(happened several days in a row for me!). Getting your wallet stolen. Having a tax reaper directly take your money each and every time you get paid. All of this is stuff that is funny exactly one time, it is not something that is worth repeating over and over again. And the text is always the same, requiring you to click through it each and every time and there really should be an option to let you skip it. Perhaps the worst thing of all is eating, which isn't even a part of the satire. It just takes forever, and you need to do it a lot. I realize you are meant to break away from all this and find an escape, and that's fine, but you can express that without belaboring the point, and really, this is more or less just a lead-in to discuss the real problem with this. The satire. It's... odd. It feels out of time and place. It's a fantasy world, but if I was to take a look at this from the perspective of the 40-something year old man from the USA that I am(and America is even mentioned in-game at some point, so perhaps I can assume that the developer is also from here?), I really don't think it's effective. I too remember people standing around carrying fliers and being really annoying about it - in like the 90s when I was 12. But there's ATMs and cellphones and presumably the internet because there's cellphones so it'd be more believable to let me look at my email and see tons of junk ads and job app rejections. Stuff like carrying 10 swords at once misses the opportunity to commentate on health code violations. The coffee break lady would have like 10000 negative reviews on fantasy Google and the game should let you leave one. You should be able to lay a trap for the pickpocket, or just let me have a damn checking account instead of just a stock portfolio which no poor student actually has. Hell, let me fight the tax reaper and die. Even the whole tone of getting a college degree feels off, there's not even a horrific loan for you to have to fight and pay down, even though this is perhaps one of the most timely and easy targets fo

Lots of glitches in the game for now. DO NOT go out drinking with friends when you are in the middle of a quest. this one will ruin your file, for the most part a lot it is fun to find. Like turning yourself into a ghost. This game is a good one can not wait until a lot of fixes happen. Will still keep playing. Also stealing the paintings will remove some textiles.
This game is so punishing, I absolutely love it. The challenge of trying to break the loop you're stuck in, the realism of having a degree but not being able to do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with it, the annoyances of everyday life like "uh oh you're hungry??? spend 77g at the restaurant (:", being stopped every morning by 20 something flyer girls for some spa that doesn't exist (does it exist? can I go to the spa? lemme go to the spa come on I sold my townhouse i deserve this.) Take the flyer. You could turn those into 10g!!!!! How infuriating!!!! I love ♥♥♥♥ like this, I love having to use my brain to figure out what the ♥♥♥♥ im supposed to do to break this loop. Also, love how realistically you build skills. You mean I've went to the dojo 30 something times now and my fitness is STILL that low? Yeah, buddy, it takes TIME to train your body. I will say, the game is a bit buggy, even crashed last night when I tried to take the advanced dojo classes. Was really excited to be able to fight more than 3 of those guys and it just FROZE ): but im not complaining, game developing is difficult. Also, the game is in EARLY ACCESS. It's gonna have bugs, it's not a complete game; you're supposed to tell the devs "hey guys uhhh did you know that this made my game crash" and they're supposed to go "oh dang my b" and fix it when they do they're thing. Reading the bad reviews makes me feel as if maybe this game is a lost cause on people who play games for escapism versus people who play games for the challenge. And don't get me wrong, I LOVE escapism, but I also LOVE a challenge; I love using my brain to think! I truly think this game has so much potential, and im throwing all my support at them.
This negative review may be subject to change but at the moment the amount of game bricking bugs in a game that advertises as a "think outside the box" experience makes it simply unplayable. Grinding for an hour to oneshot the wolves in the forest to get past the 3 wolves has very clearly broken the game and ruined my second attempt at this game and that prior attempt was ruined by getting a free house and girlfriend 3 hrs into my playthrough by just clicking on a door. Can't recommend this game in this current state.
Insane game. First time I won by being bad, so bad infact I sped run the game twice with different playthrough choices to the end. Pacifist run is stupid and rewards you with a quick roll of the credits. It's one you should go in blind.
This game seemed like it could be fun but has some pretty big game breaking bugs as of now so far I have: 1. Got permanently frozen in the farm. Its linked to specific actions as hard restarting the game and trying again duplicated the error. 2. Had numerous bugs where npc events didn't happen. Restarting the game completly with the otherwise same sequence of events triggers them 3. And the one that made me put the game down was a bug where I was perma locked locking up so can't interact with NPCs. The overall concept of this game feels interesting, but right now there are so many bugs that it feels like the dev didn't playtest the game themselves. To make matters worse, the game is very slow and most of these things won't be encountered till beyond the refund window. I wouldn't buy this until a lot more updates come out. I think I hate this. I like the concept but I hate how it's done. It's very tedious and it has a lot of bugs in it. The flyer girls and sequences that have to play out like having taxes taken from pay every time and having someone even collect your bills has a long sequence to it. Even eating and sleeping is slow. Some of this just seems like some of the devs odd humor and honestly just needs a reality check. The game talks of curiosity other paths but it really feels like you have to do things in pretty specific order or things won't work. I've sequence broke the game several times and softlocked it by just like becoming hungry or going to bed in the game before I talked to someone. Some things I can't tell if it's just unfinished, broken, or a bad joke. Like it seems like there is maybe something you can do to change your diploma but after doing it nothing changed. It actually continually gives the option to change it. If you touch the other side of the room you still get a comment from someone who isn't actually in the room about touching their stuff. The people in the Deans office still ignore me during regular hours afterwards. It needs a lot of work still
