Demon Lord: Clicker

The game at the moment can very much be likened to a skeleton, bare boned. The structure of the game is there yes, but it has no meat at the moment of review. One thing is that there is no stakes, as explained by the current run down of the story you have arrived into the world and have had invulnerability cast on you, so you take no damage. Which means you cannot be hurt therefore cannot lose, which in turn leaves no pressure or feeling of accomplishment of beating a hard encounter. Than again it is a Clicker game which in most cases I don't think you ever meant to lose in a traditional sense. Music is serviceable. The game has a path system akin to roguelikes such as Slay the Spire and Incryption, but at the time of review doesn't seem to matter because all paths are fight encounters. Enemy feedback and variety are also okay for now, but could use improvements. When you defeat an mob they just disappear, if they had it where there was a frame or couple added with maybe a splatter and the mob falling would give it more of an immersive feeling when defeating mobs. For variety having say recolored sprites with a couple other small changes for say an elite version of mob would be a way to increase variety without creating entirely new assets from scratch. I'm rating the game positively because there is something here, but just needs polish and more content at the time of this review. The game is also free so the fact that if you didn't enjoy your time playing game is mute, since you spent no money purchasing the game only time. TLDR: Definitely a game for people who want something simple and casual to play, but needs more updates/polish
